Doctoral research goals
Inspired by my time in Africa, the global burden of malaria, the critical nature of global warming, and the impact climatic factors have on that fragile dynamic...
My doctoral research interests will focus on vulnerability assessment of infectious diseases in relation to climate change.
I will be assessing the dynamic ways in which the vector-borne disease, malaria, is forecasted to respond to projected changes in climate. Using mixed methods and integrating aspects of both physical and human geography, I hope to contribute valuable insight on this relationship in tropical Africa, which includes some of the top malaria-burdened countries globally.
