Mariposas en mi estomago
Jan 5, 2008
I have lots of butterflies in my tummy
Today was beautiful- cold…but sunny
I don’t like Jell-O or Ugs and neither do you
I’ll meet you at 38th street and the corner of 6th avenue
Let’s go for a burrito lunch where we can eat, sit, and chat
About traveling the world without a plan and nothing but a pack and a mat
And I know I eat a lot- I can’t help that I’m a bottomless pit
Just a seat or two we’d search a bookstore to relax and sit
An issue of trust to guide the walking blind
Plaid ties in a J Crew store we’d ultimately find
Sedaris won you over with Me Talk Pretty One Day
And on the subway by your side I’d like to stay
I may not always convey Spanish all that well
But the story about the anus is one we can now tell
How excited I get for when you say good-bye you kiss me
I'd love to make you smile more-with pounds of green tea
Hay Mariposas En Mi Estomago
You’re adorable- and that I know
